1 Day Great Barrier Reef Pontoon Adventure $265

Great Barrier Reef Pontoon Adventure Tour Itinerary

The new deluxe pontoon at Moore Reef has a little something for everyone. Located 40km into the Great Barrier Reef off the shores of Cairns, it is a haven of water-based activities that are fun for all the family.

This one-day adventure takes you out to the pontoon where you are free to explore the reef on your own terms so you can really make this day all about you. Discovering the Great Barrier Reef, one of the world’s most breath-taking natural wonders, is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and this tour is the perfect way to dip your toes into this incredible area (both literally and figuratively).

We set out from Cairns on a comfortable, air-conditioned catamaran and make our way through the beautiful scenery of the Great Barrier Reef to the Moore Reef Pontoon. This floating activity centre is full of fun adventures which you can pick and choose throughout the day.

You might decide to hit the waterslides and splash about in the crystal clear waters of the reef, or you might prefer to grab a sun lounger on the deck and soak up a few rays. Alternatively, there’s an underwater observatory where you can glean a deeper understanding of the diverse marine life that characterises this part of the ocean, as well as the opportunity to go on a Glass Bottom Boat tour or a semi-submersible tour – both of which are led by expert marine biologists.

For younger members of the family, there is a fish feeding tour and an enclosed pool overlooking the waters of the Great Barrier Reef. After a tropical buffet lunch, it’s time to check out the underwater world with a snorkelling adventure before we make our way back to Cairns. This day-trip offers an incredible way to get to know the Great Barrier Reef, whether you’re looking to snorkel, swim, or soak up the sun.
