Lady Elliot Island has 2 wonderful snorkelling trails that allow you to explore the Great Barrier Reef and witness the diverse marine life. You can snorkel straight off the beach or book a tour.

  • Scuba diving

Take this breathtaking opportunity to explore the Great Barrier Reef through scuba diving. You will go deeper into the water and experience swimming alongside unique marine life, including turtles and manta rays. There are 2 scheduled dives from Lady Elliot Island each day, with 20 dive sites nearby. Scuba diving equipment is available for hire at the island resort, along with courses for all experience levels, provided you have a certification card.

Whether you choose to stay for a few days for a relaxing getaway or visit for just a day, the island is the perfect spot to sit back and unwind. Enjoy the soft white sand overlooking the reef and take a dip in the clear blue water when it gets a bit hot.

A great way to experience the reef surrounding Lady Elliot Island without getting in the water is to take a glass bottom boat tour.
