The Turtle Rehabilitation Centre is an important part of Fitzroy Island, where turtles can recover from injuries or illnesses. The centre is volunteer-operated, and hosts talks throughout the week to provide more information about its history and the turtles’ recovery journeys.

Voted Australia’s most beautiful beach in 2018, Nudey Beach still lives up to the hype. The pristine white sand beach is surrounded by beautiful blue waters, with vibrant coral and marine life. Upon arriving at Fitzroy Island, the walk from Welcome Bay is only 15 minutes through the rainforest before you see the stunning beach.
